Privacy Policy — Dengo

  1. 1. Who we are and what Dengo is

    Dengo is an iOS app developed by Gabriel Vaz (Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) that delivers one question a day to couples to spark deeper conversations. It includes a free tier and a Premium tier (monthly subscription or lifetime purchase) processed by the App Store.

    This Privacy Policy describes what data Dengo processes, how it uses that data, and your rights.

  2. 2. Data processed on your device

    Your favorite questions, answers and progress (streak, achievements) are stored locally via SwiftData. None of this leaves your iPhone.

    The question catalog (1,000+ items across 15 categories) is bundled with the app — it is not fetched from a server.

    Identifiers and usage data are limited to iOS UserDefaults, as declared in PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy.

  3. 3. Data the app does NOT collect

    No signup, no login, no profile. Dengo does not require an account to work.

    No third-party analytics (PostHog, Firebase, Mixpanel, Google Analytics) — the app does not send usage events to us or to any marketing platform.

    No cross-app or cross-site tracking (NSPrivacyTracking = false in the privacy manifest).

  4. 4. In-app purchases

    Dengo Premium is offered in two formats: a monthly subscription (R$ 9.90/month, auto-renewing) or a one-time lifetime purchase (R$ 49.90). Prices may vary per region as defined by the App Store.

    All purchases are processed exclusively by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive credit card numbers, banking data, full name or billing address.

    Apple provides us only with purchase status (active, expired, refunded) via signed StoreKit transactions — tied to your Apple ID, not to a Dengo account.

    To cancel a monthly subscription, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, or App Store > Account > Subscriptions. Refunds must be requested directly from Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.

    A `Restore purchases` action is available inside the app and re-verifies your history through your Apple ID.

  5. 5. Permissions requested

    Local notifications (optional) — used only to send the daily card reminder at the time you choose. Can be revoked in Settings > Notifications > Dengo.

  6. 6. Data sharing

    We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

    There is no proprietary Dengo server. There is no backend.

    Apple processes payments under the Apple Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

  7. 7. Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)

    Since we do not collect any personally identifiable data, there is no record on our side to correct, delete or port. Your local data (favorites, streak) can be erased at any time by uninstalling the app or using the `Erase data` option in Dengo Settings.

  8. 8. Children

    Dengo is not directed at children under 13. Expected App Store age rating: 17+ (mild mature content in certain categories).

    We may update this Policy periodically. The latest update date is shown at the top of this document.
