Privacy Policy — Don't Die Today

Don't Die Today is an iOS app developed by Gabriel Vaz (Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) that computes a daily Longevity Score from your Apple Health data. It includes a free tier and a Premium tier (subscription) processed by the App Store.

This Policy describes what data the app uses, who it is shared with, and how you can control everything.

The app requests READ access to the following HealthKit types: steps, sleep duration and stages, active and resting calories, distance, exercise minutes, heart rate, HRV, VO2 max and workouts.

Optionally, with your explicit authorization, the app may WRITE your daily check-ins back to Apple Health.

Health data is processed locally on your iPhone to compute the score and render charts. In compliance with App Store Review Guideline 5.1.3, we never use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing or sharing with unrelated third parties.

You can revoke permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Don't Die.

To sync your progress across devices, you may opt into Sign in with Apple. In that case we receive only an anonymous identifier generated by Apple and — if you choose to share — your email (real or hidden via Hide My Email).

Account usage is strictly optional. All core features work without login.

You can close and delete your account at any time from within the app, at Settings > Account > Delete my account. This erases all data associated with your account within 30 days. In compliance with App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), this option is available inside the app itself — we do not require visiting an external website.

We use PostHog to understand aggregate app usage — which screens drive drop-off, which habits engage users, when subscriptions convert. These events do NOT include your health data, name, email or check-in content.

Identifiers sent to PostHog are generated locally, anonymous and not tied to any personal profile on our side. PostHog is configured to honor `Do Not Track` when iOS signals it.

You can disable analytics inside the app at Settings > Privacy > Share anonymous analytics. The setting is honored immediately.

The Premium tier is a subscription processed by Apple via StoreKit. Prices, trial periods and renewal terms are shown before purchase inside the app.

Apple manages billing, auto-renewal, refunds and cancellation. We do not receive card or billing data.

To cancel: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone. A `Restore purchases` action is available inside the app.

Apple Health (read): to compute the Longevity Score.

Apple Health (write, optional): to save your daily check-ins.

Local notifications: for daily check-in reminders. Optional, configurable.

Sign in with Apple: optional, only if you want cross-device sync.

We do not sell, rent or share your health data with advertisers or third parties.

Sub-processors used: Apple (authentication, payments, HealthKit), PostHog (anonymized analytics, opt-out available) and Sentry (when enabled in debug builds, for crash diagnostics).

None of these sub-processors receive raw health data.

The Longevity Score and other metrics are informational only. They DO NOT substitute medical diagnosis, treatment or professional advice.

In compliance with App Store Review Guideline 1.4.1, Don't Die Today is not a medical device. For clinical decisions, consult a licensed healthcare professional.

Under LGPD (Brazil) and GDPR (EU), you have the right to: access, correct, delete, port, object and revoke consent.

We respond to requests within 15 business days.

The app is not directed at children under 13. Expected App Store age rating: 17+ due to health/longevity content.

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified inside the app.
